Getting Started

How do I add a renewal?
  1. Tap the + button on the Upcoming or Manage screen.
  2. Basics & Dates — Enter a name for your renewal (e.g. "Car Insurance"). Choose a start date and an end date using the calendar. The end date is when your contract ends or is due for renewal. Tap Next.
  3. Cost — Enter the renewal amount (the total due at the end of contract). Optionally, expand "Regular payments" to set a payment frequency (Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly, Bi-Annually, Annually, or up to Every 5 Years) and a regular payment amount. Tap Next.
  4. Notes & Attachments — Pick a category (e.g. Car Insurance, Streaming, Gym & Fitness). Add optional notes and attach up to 10 files (PDF, JPG, PNG, or HEIC, max 10 MB each) from your Files or Photo Library. Tap Next.
  5. Reminders — Add up to 2 reminders. Choose from presets (Day Before, Week Before, Month Before, 3 Months Before) or pick a custom date and time. Tap Next.
  6. Summary — Review all your details. If everything looks good, tap Finish to save.
How do I edit a renewal?
  1. Open the renewal from the Manage or Upcoming screen.
  2. Tap the Edit button in the top-right corner.
  3. The wizard opens with all your current details pre-filled.
  4. Navigate through the steps to change any details — name, dates, cost, category, notes, attachments, or reminders.
  5. Tap Finish to save your changes.

Reminders & Notifications

How do I set up reminders?

When adding or editing a renewal

  1. In the wizard, navigate to the Reminders step (step 4 of 5).
  2. Tap Add Reminder.
  3. Choose a preset option (Day Before, Week Before, Month Before, or 3 Months Before), or switch to the Custom Date tab to pick a specific date and time.
  4. Tap Save to confirm the reminder.
  5. To add a second reminder, tap Add Reminder again (maximum 2 per renewal).

From an existing renewal

  1. Open the renewal from the Manage or Upcoming screen.
  2. Tap the bell icon on the renewal card, or tap Edit and navigate to the Reminders step.
  3. Add or change reminders as described above.

Managing reminders

  • To edit a reminder, tap on it to reopen the picker.
  • To delete a reminder, swipe it to the right and tap Delete.

ImportantMake sure you have allowed notifications for All Renewals in your device Settings. The app can schedule up to 60 notifications at a time (iOS system limit).

Managing Renewals

How do I delete a renewal?

Delete an entire renewal (including all history)

  1. Open the renewal you want to delete.
  2. Tap the Manage button (•••) on the renewal card.
  3. Select Delete Renewal.
  4. Confirm by tapping Delete in the confirmation dialog.

This permanently removes the renewal and all its terms, attachments, and reminders. This action cannot be undone.

Delete a single past renewal record

  1. Open the renewal and scroll to the Past Renewals section.
  2. Swipe the past renewal entry to the right.
  3. Tap the Delete button that appears.
  4. Confirm the deletion.

Delete from the Manage screen

  1. Go to the Manage tab.
  2. Swipe the renewal card to the left.
  3. Tap Delete and confirm.
How do I start a new term for an existing renewal?

When a contract period ends and a new one begins:

Option A — End and start new term in one step

  1. Open the renewal.
  2. Tap the Manage button (•••) on the renewal card.
  3. Select End & Start New Term.
  4. The previous term moves to your renewal history, and a wizard opens pre-filled with your previous details.
  5. Update the dates, cost, and reminders as needed.
  6. Tap Finish to save the new term.

Option B — End first, then start later

  1. Open the renewal and tap Manage (•••).
  2. Select End Current Term — this moves the term to past renewals.
  3. When you're ready, open the renewal again and tap Start New Term.
  4. Fill in the new term details and tap Finish.

The app will pre-fill amounts and calculate suggested dates based on your renewal frequency.

How do I record a past renewal?

If you want to keep a history of previous contract terms:

  1. Open the renewal you want to add history to.
  2. Scroll down to the Past Renewals section.
  3. Tap the + button.
  4. Fill in the details for the past term: start date, end date, renewal cost, and optionally the regular payment amount, notes, and attachments.
  5. Tap Finish to save.

The past renewal will appear in the renewal's history section. Tap any past renewal to view it in a receipt-style detail view.

How do I view my upcoming renewals?

The Upcoming tab (home screen) shows:

  • Renewals Due — a count of renewals coming up in the next 30 days. Tap to see the full list.
  • Total Due — the estimated total cost of upcoming renewals. Tap to see a cost breakdown.
  • Highest Renewals — your top 3 most expensive upcoming renewals.
  • Timeline — swipe up on the bottom panel to see a chronological timeline of all your upcoming renewals, grouped by month.
How do I organise and find my renewals?

On the Manage tab:

  • Search — use the search bar to find renewals by name or category.
  • Group — tap the group button to organise renewals by Category, Frequency, or Status.
  • Sort — tap the sort button to order by Renewal Date or Cost.

Attachments & Data

How do I add attachments to a renewal?

When creating or editing a renewal

  1. In the wizard, navigate to the Notes & Attachments step (step 3 of 5).
  2. Tap Add attachment.
  3. Choose Files to pick a document, or Photo Library to select a photo.
  4. The attachment will appear in the list. You can add up to 10 files per renewal.

From an existing renewal

  1. Open the renewal from the Manage or Upcoming screen.
  2. Tap the paperclip icon on the renewal card to open the attachments view.
  3. Tap Add attachment and choose your source.

Viewing attachments

  • Tap any attachment to open a full-screen preview. Images can be zoomed and panned. PDFs are displayed in a document viewer.
  • Tap the share button in the preview to share or save the file.

Removing attachments

  • Swipe an attachment to the right and tap Delete, then confirm.

Supported filesPDF, JPG, JPEG, PNG, and HEIC. Maximum 10 MB per file, up to 10 files per renewal.

How do I export my data?
  1. Go to the Settings tab.
  2. Tap Export Data.
  3. A CSV file will be generated containing all your renewals.
  4. The system share sheet will appear — choose where to save or send the file (e.g. Files, AirDrop, email, or a cloud service).

The export includes all renewal details: name, category, payment cycle, dates, amounts, status, and notes.

How do I import renewals from a CSV file?
  1. Go to the Settings tab.
  2. Tap Import Data.
  3. Tap to select a CSV file from your device. You can also download a template to see the correct format.
  4. The app will parse and preview the renewals found in your file.
  5. Review the list — the app will flag any duplicates that already exist in your data.
  6. Select which renewals you want to import.
  7. Tap Import to add the selected renewals.

CSV formatYour file must have 9 columns in the correct order: Name, Category, Payment Cycle, Start Date, End Date, Payment, Est. Renewal Cost, Status, Notes.

NoteReminders are not included in CSV imports. You will need to set up reminders manually after importing.

Settings

How do I change my currency?
  1. Go to the Settings tab.
  2. Tap Currency.
  3. Select your preferred currency from the list.

Supported currencies: USD, EUR, GBP, JPY, CNY, CAD, AUD, CHF, PLN, BGN, INR, LKR, and NZD.

Your selection applies to all renewals throughout the app.

How do I restore my purchases?

All Renewals is a one-time purchase. If you've previously purchased the app and need to re-download it, simply visit the App Store and download it again — you won't be charged twice. Your Apple ID remembers your purchase.

If the App Store prompts you to pay again, try the following:

  1. Make sure you are signed in with the same Apple ID you used for the original purchase.
  2. Go to Settings > App Store on your device and ensure your account is correct.
  3. Try downloading the app again — the App Store should recognise your previous purchase and let you download for free.

If you continue to have issues, contact Apple Support for help with App Store purchases.

Is my data backed up?

All Renewals stores your data locally on your device. There is currently no cloud sync or automatic backup.

To safeguard your data, we recommend exporting your renewals regularly:

  1. Go to the Settings tab.
  2. Tap Export Data.
  3. Save or share the CSV file to a safe location (e.g. iCloud Drive, email, or another cloud service).

You can import this file back into the app at any time using the Import Data option in Settings.

Please noteIf you delete the app, your data will be lost unless you have exported it beforehand.

How do I delete all my data?
  1. Go to the Settings tab.
  2. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete All Data.
  3. Confirm the deletion in the dialog.

This permanently deletes all renewals, history, attachments, and cancels all scheduled notifications. This action cannot be undone.
